Felt & mixed media ART class

all levels

In this workshop we’ll combine innovating wet felting techniques with mixed media art to create an outstanding and poetic ART cowl.

You will learn how to:

• incrusting special papers to give beautiful textures and firmness

• stiffening fabrics for calligraphic designs

• making high quality felt

• creating relief

• designing outstanding geometrical shapes

• free motion machine embroidering

• embellishing with inks

The class is a live event on ZOOM in two sessions. During the first one we’ll create the layout, incrust papers and / or fabrics and design our cowls. The following day we’ll finalize the design and I’ll show you how to embroider it with free motion machine and hand stitching as well as the use of ink as a powerful design element.

Why live online?

I’m teaching live because I believe that there is a magic operating when we come together even so we are not in the same room. My approach is very intuitive and always changing. This makes each online class a happening! Through our exchanges, suggestions, questions and inspirations we will will influence each others work, learn, inspire and evolve!

For being able to exchange and get the best out of the experience, each session is limited to 8 participants!

You are heartily welcome to felt live with me during the sessions. However if you don’t feel like, you can also decide - at any moment - to watch, take notes and ask questions. The class is recorded. You’ll get access to the recording in the following 24h after the session and for at least 1 year. This allows you to re-watch the lesson as often as you like and work on your own pace.

If you don’t want to participate live, it’s ok as well. Just let me know beforehand so that I don’t wait for you to connect. You will get access to the recording in the same time as all participants!
