Felted Sculpture: The free man spirit

In the webinar we’ll felt a sculpture based on a symbol that I encountered on my recent trip to Morocco: the freeman.

It has a very high spiritual symbolic for me.

I have chosen it (or maybe it has chosen me?) to represent the new chapter of my live which has begun to unfold. I love the dancing like shape but also the fact that it is the symbol of the north African nomads, who – I want to believe – live a life in function of their instinct and deep desires. A life not dictated by others or society. A life in which the unique nature and creativity of all is respected and honored to make the tribe a joyful and prosper one. This is my story for the free woman or free spirit as I like to refer to.

No need to dive into this same spirituality!

The sculpture can be seen as a talisman, a lucky charm or a fashionable necklace.

You can add a pin and make it a brooch for example. It’s a beautiful gift for a beloved friend. There is room in the back to add a tender or uplifting word, seeds, or another charming gift.

Some of my sculptures will find their work into this painting, which is still in progress.

There are endless possibilities and even so you might not be sure yet, what your sculpture will become or stand for, I’m sure you will enjoy making it with me.
