VAWAA (pronounced Vah-wah) stands for Vacation With An Artist. It’s a platform connecting creative travelers with artists and artisans worldwide for a new form of travelling & learning.
If you are like me, you will love this concept!
With VAWAA traveling gets a complet new sens. I don’t know about you, but personally I would always choose a workshop over a sightseeing tour! There is nothing more relaxing and exiting for me than learning new skills. However I also love to see new places, get to know other peoples, other cultures. Well VAWAA combines both! It enables us to discover a region, a culture and an art or craft form guided by masters of their discipline!
At VAWAA you find offers to stay and work with master artists and craftspeople from all over the world.
Through VAWAA you book your own personal studio session - a tailored mini-apprenticeship - in function of your needs and desires in amazing places all over the world!
More than just a workshop
The VAWAA offer is different from “ordinary” workshops as your booking at VAWAA is always an individual one. You decide about the dates, the exact timing, whether you come alone or with up to 3 persons.
But foremost all : the program is tailored exactly to your needs and desires!
At my studio you can of course book an individual stay through VAWAA and make a felted Art Vest or a Sculptural Hat. However my suggestions is - because we can - to let space for the unexpected the unpredictable. Why not making a mixed media piece inspired by what you’ll experience her? A wall-hanging, a sculpture, an installation…?

Inspired by your travel experience in Paris and it’s surroundings
Paris, Versailles, Monet’s gardens or the surroundings of my art studio are wonderful places to get inspired and make authentic art, reflecting your unique travel experience.
My ideal VAWAA program for you would be to focus on your individual travel experience allowing to create an original mixed media (textile) art piece. An art work only you could make because it reflects what you see, feel, experience, and discover while living Paris and it's surroundings.
There are two options:
We explore together Paris, Versailles, Monet’s gardens or the natural and urban surrounding of my studio and get inspired by what we see together we’ll collect textures, details, colors, words, photos, objects …
You explore these places on your own beforehand and bring the above mentioned treasures with you.
We will use our experiences and the collected items in an intuitive and spontaneous way to make something special - an authentic piece of art (wearable or decorative) .
My art studio is equipped in such way that any technique you like to explores is easily accessible. There is a spot for felting, another one for free motion stitching, metalsmithing, enameling, cyanotype, painting… Everything is organized in a way allowing us to follow the flow of our inspiration.
